As Section President of the SJSU Section of Society of Women Engineers, I’ve organized a monthly speaker series titled, “Women in Tech Talks.” The aim of this event is to highlight the incredible women who work in the technical industry. We hope that by giving students a chance to meet successful women, the students will dream big, and not be afraid to “chase big problems.”

In FY12, I served as the Outreach Chair for SJSU Section of the  Society of Women Engineers. My primary task was to act as the student coordinator for the event, “Wow! That’s Engineering!” This event enabled us to share engineering with high school girls from all over the Bay Area. Throughout the day they experienced hands-on engineering workshops, explored labs, and conversed with college students, industry professionals, and SJSU faculty.
